Training Sessions
Eutex Training Courses are conducted by Epsilon, an ATEX Notified Body IEC Accredited (UKAS) and IECEx Member.

Theses courses have been carefully designed on our understanding of what North American manufactures need to know to be compliant with IEC requirements.

Why do we need training for IEC and ATEX

The requirements for building plant, equipment and assemblies to IEC and ATEX Hazardous Area specifications differ greatly from the NEC500 (North American) code and common engineering practices. The latest installation standard for hazardous area equipment (IEC 60079-14) contains many new requirements and clarifications that directly affect the selection and installation of equipment.

The new IEC Standard also specifies in detail the competency requirements for installers, operators, responsible persons and designers of hazardous area equipment.

In many countries (including all of Europe) these specifications are mandatory by law. Further to this, there are mandatory requirements to inspect the equipment or installation prior to commissioning to ensure compliance with the build specification.

Increasingly, non-compliant assemblies are being identified. This generates significant re-work costs and delays. The key to avoiding these issues and 'getting it right first time is' competence, and competence can be achieved through training.
