PXSS2KREX

PXSS2KREX explosive atmosphere barrier cable glands are suitable for all types of unarmored cables. Certified by ATEX for safe glanding of cables in Zone 2 potentially explosive atmospheres, they feature a liquid pour sealing system that enhances reliability while reducing risk, man hours, and costs.

This type of cable gland is manufactured to meet a wide array of standards, specifications, and codes. Examples include:

The PXSS2KREX cable gland utilizes a liquid pour resin seal, which curbs installation time and associated costs. It’s particularly effective on multicore cables where a traditional compound is difficult and time-consuming to apply.

Available construction materials include brass, electroless nickel-plated brass, stainless steel, and aluminum constructions. EUTEX International’s standard offering is nickel-plated brass. Optional accessories include locknuts, earth tags, serrated washers, entry thread seals, shrouds, and ingress discs.

This cable gland type features deluge protections and is intended for operating environments of -60°C to +85°C. Many applications can benefit from PXSS2KREX explosive atmosphere barrier cable gland products.
