Course Overview
The course CompEx Ex 11 has been created for mechanical engineers to gain a qualification in explosion safety to international standards.An ATEX requirement for users to identify all possible ignition sources that could occur in a potentially explosive area including electrical equipment and non-electrical equipment.
This course covers all aspects for safe equipment selection, installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair.
Upon completion of the CompEx Ex11 course the student will be able to:
• Demonstrate installation and inspections skills for non-electrical equipment in hazardous areas
• Understand basics of Ex protection methods and where each may be used
• Demonstrate understanding of Ex markings
• Understand which activities are and are not allowed with regards to equipment maintenance and repairs
In order to provide the highest quality of training experience, this course will consist of the following instructional elements
Instructor-led presentation – The core elements of skill will be presented and demonstrated in a classroom environment. Lab exercises and practical demonstrations of skills will be accomplished by the student.
Assessments – Multiple choice and written exams will be administered throughout the course. The final exams are in written form and will be administered on the final day.
Documentation – The attendee will receive an attendance certificate from EUTEX. Upon successful completion of the JTL exams, the attendee will receive a certificate that is valid for 5 years.
