PXSS2K Gland Explosive

The PXSS2K explosive-atmosphere cable gland is suitable for all types of unarmored cables. Certified by ATEX for the safe glanding of cables in Class 1 Zone 1, 21, and Zone 2, 22, hazardous areas, they’re manufactured in accordance with the following:

This cable gland type features a double-seal design. Displacement-type environmental and compound barrier-type flameproof seals combine to offer superior levels of cable retention while preventing coldflow. Optional accessories include locknuts, earth tags, serrated washers, entry thread seals, shrouds, and ingress discs.

PXSS2K explosive-atmosphere cable glands are available in brass, electroless nickel-plated brass, stainless steel, and aluminum constructions. EUTEX International’s standard offering is nickel-plated brass.

This cable gland type features deluge protections and is intended for operating environments of -60°C to +85°C. Many applications can benefit from PXSS2K cable gland explosive atmosphere products.
